I think I'm autistic. I've done a lot of research, I meet the whole criterea. I'm going to get diagnosed soon. But anyways, I just wanted to rant. Every time some little thing changes, unless I want it to or I can control it, I have anxiety attacks or go into this sort of dissociative state. Today I sat on the opposite side of the couch I usually do and I didn't get to watch the travel channel. The day felt totally normal until those things changed. I wanna crawl out of my skin I feel so weird. Is there anything I can do to feel more normal?

I’ve found that there isnt really any way to feel ‘normal’ because we’re not. But being aware of those triggers can help you better understand why you are feeling that way. I always try to find a way to calm myself down, by stimming to a song I adore or something like that.!

I expirence this! Routine changes can be extremely stressful or triggering for me. A diagnosis isnt attainable for a lot of people, and thats perfectly okay. Youre allowed to be autistic, and not get diagnosed. Before you decide to, look into the pros and cons- especially in the legal sence. I used to have what I thought were panic attacks a lot, but since learning Im autistic, Im learning to relabel them as meltdowns. The dissassosiation can also be a form of a meltdown. This may or may not be the case for you, though. Needing control over your routines isnt a bad thing, either. I used to belive that I was being overdramtic about getting so upset about things that dont seem to matter to other people. But autstic people thrive when they have control, in routines for a lot of people. So its not a negitive trait or a bad thing.

You are normal, there is nothing wrong with liking routine! Try to get a diagnosis, and don't be afraid to seek help or information 💕
Also, I relate to your struggles. You are not alone ❤❤
Definitely getting an official diagnose would help a lot. Finding a counselor who works with autism would be a good step. A big thing I'm finding with being Autistic is having a good support system. For me, I have to remind myself not to compare myself to others and to focus on what works for me. There is more than one type of normal I'm finding...💗 Hope that helps!!
