Are the side effects of medication worth it when you have bipolar? I got off my meds and that comes with it’s own set of challenges but I guess I’m wondering when would be the time to get back on meds? Even if the side effects suck?

In my opinion, yes it's worth it. I'm on SNRIs and they help manage my symptoms a lot. My only side effect has been minor memory loss over time since I've been medicated since I was young. But I'd rather have that over manic and depressive episodes.
