I have scalp psoriasis. I’m having a hard time with identifying my triggers. Has anyone noticed any triggers that flare up you’re psoriasis? I’m asking everyone that has any type of it. Now my patches are back. I know stress is one but I’m having issues identifying my triggers. Any advice or tips!?

For me it's stress and the cold 😥my psoriasis always seems to get worse in the winter or if I finish my showers with cold water

I didn’t know you could get shots into your scalp! I feel like the cold is a trigger for me. I was prescribed a topical ear oil I leave in my hair overnight and use a lice comb to gently get the build up off. I pick due to my anxiety as well and my hair is falling out like in clumps, it depresses me. I am gonna try coconut oil! I had like a spray an itching spray but can’t find it anywhere! My head is sensitive to hot water when I take a shower so I gotta use cold. The enbral is keeping my PA at bay but my scalp not so much and I have big plaques. Everyone keeps telling me to do hot oil treatments for Moisture. My hair is very dry now that I have scalp psoriasis. I had beautiful hair but got ruined with this. I feel bad with anyone that had anytime of psoriasis because it is painful and burns!

Tea tree oil is usually used to treat lice. Putting coconut oil in a bath might help a lot though, I know it helped me.

I’m gonna try the coconut oil but the real one. I got tea tree oil off Amazon supposed to be for hot oil treatments but I’m afraid right now to do it because my plaques. I put my hand through my hair and it falls out a lot and I just cry. It sucks.

I have plaque psoriasis and one of my biggest triggers is stress. I have patches all over my legs, right arm, and scalp.

Ugh yes, my hair is also falling out but I find it feels and looks better when I do coconut oil treatments. I’ve been putting them off because of fatigue and I regret it. The hot oil sounds scary to me. I usually just heat the oil enough that it’s liquid (even just your body heat is enough if you put it in your hands but that takes longer) and gently massage it in my scalp and work it through to the ends and let it sit covered for an hour or two. I do this twice a week usually. Also wet your hair first

I do. But it dries out my hair and it’s falling out, so I use Luseta I believe for shampoo and conditioner. They prescribed me topicals that don’t work. I am on enbral so I gotta give it some time. I might try that. Someone said like real coconut oil will do the trick or hot oil treatment’s which I’m afraid to try.

For me stress, changes in weather/season, or when I have an ear infection/infection of any kind. Do you have medicated shampoo? Using oil, like coconut oil, to sit on the scalp before washing can be moisturising and helpful.
