Tooth Anxiety/Dentist: So it feels like I am running out of teeth by the time I'm 30. I just got told they are taking 5 more teeth on top of my 4 wisdom teeth. I'm scared to get yet another extraction set up for these ones. it wasn't easy taking out my wisdom teeth either. How can I be less anxious about the whole process? I'm also on a headset and quiet because of my tooth problems.

I have used twilight for my last 5 extractions. It just makes sense with that kind of anxiety. My husband found a dentist that was able to calm his by doing meditative talk with him during his extractions (5 teeth and a jaw cyst removal) but for that many I would look into an oral surgeon and taking a nap during the procedure.

Ask for a sedative medicine to take beforehand and get a friend or family member to be your escourt. I get so loopy idr going to the dentist. I have bad genetics for my teeth. I just dropped almost 2 grand on fixing my teeth, and that was with insurance. You're not alone. Good luck and reach out to me if you need to vent.

I have a lot of anxiety toward dentists and require sedation in order to be able to have teeth pulled.

šŸ™I was 24 when they had to do a full tooth extraction. I had lost my two front teeth, and the rest were not able to be saved. I'm 25 and now have full dentures. It's terrifying to have to have teeth removed, but try and focus on how much better it will feel when the painful teeth are out. My advice is to try and use guided meditation when the anxiety gets to be too much. They have adult coloring books I use when I begin to spiral, they might help here too, especially if you can set aside time for meditation.
