i (marice) have recently come to two ideas, one being that maybe the trauma i hold, isnt what initially caused these amnesiac/dissociative barriers - which is scary because how much do i not know about our childhood? and secondly, one of our littles went dormant about 2ish years ago, after a relatively "small" incident which we didnt understand why it triggered them so much, now looking back on it it couldve been that incident was a trauma reminder of heavier trauma (mainly emotional in this sense) and that our little wasnt able to handle the stress because of an oncoming of trauma memories.. idk just thoughts but im thinking about bringing this up to our therapist
