my anxiety was being finicky at work today, so what I did was listen to my favorite book series my entire shift... anyone else do something like this?

      this is actually a really good idea that i might try. i just started a new job and it involves a lot of new people and talking so i can get really anxious

      All the time. I get high anxiety and always make tea and watch a tV show I like but have already watched all the way through multiple times.

          @Wild_Goddess it's to help you ground and feel in the present. It not only give you something you are firmilliar with but also let's you have something you enjoy around you. If you have something that makes you happy, you tend to calm down. It's similar to when you have an upset stomach and if you listen to music you know really well and sing along, it can calm your stomach. It's because you are listening to something you know, and the vibrations of the song that is familiar makes your stomach calm down.
