Y’all, I made a really big mistake. I’ve had gastroparesis for a few years now, and I never really had the chance to drink before… long story short, I wanted to feel normal & I had a few Christmas drinks, I really messed my stomach up. Does anyone have any advice? I’ve gotten it all out of my tummy by now, but I have awful abdominal cramping and nausea that won’t go away despite taking my meds. Currently sipping on water & eating ice

Sips of a sports drink your antinausea meds and slowly introduce crackers or dry cereal something that will help "soak up" the alcohol. That worked for me, but everyone is different.
Thank you everyone for replying & giving me amazing advice! I think I’m out of the woods now haha, this was quite a lesson to learn

I also find eating carbs or starch helps me 🤷 like a potato. Or even white rice. Just start small because you're more than likely probably going to throw it up. Good luck 🤞
if you have a phenergan (promethazine) prescription i can often take one of those after drinking, knock out for a few hours and feel better when i wake up lol. anything that sort of calms your system down/makes it feel safe helps too, such as a heating pad on stomach
