its 3:30 in the morning and I Cannot sleep no matter how hard I try. I keep hearing noises at my window and its freaking me out. its not windy and there shouldn't be any animals out there. i can't stop thinking about it and literally any possible (and impossible) thing it could be is ruining through my head. any tips on how to ignore it and just go to sleep? I have to work in the morning :(
Well, you did the first step talk about it. Now I suggest earplugs and put headphones over top of it too; then set up how loud you'll need it depending on earplugs, and perferd way of listening. Then at the same time talk with people you think are funny or make you calm and forget About stuff. And go from there, maybe the group decided to go to sleep and you do the same. Or on the other hand do a sleep call.
I use silicone earplugs and turn a show on the TV my anxiety makes me hyper aware of sounds it helps me so much since I tried it I'm actually sleeping through the night.
