Curious what other housebound people do to pass the time? Between pain and fatigue I find it hard to any of the things I used to enjoy and I have sooo much time to kill now!

I do diamond paintings, reading true life books, I have an adapted kitchen with a lowered work top that's made to measure my exact height I'm my wheelchair & I use this work top to make wax melts & candles. I also knit & sew on my sewing machine. I also make jewellery & make lots of things on my cricut machine. It's getting harder & harder though to do any of these as much as I used to. So on bad days I just read or have a sofa, duvet & movie day.

@Tizzy1 so many different crafts, I love it! Amazing that you are able to keep up with them all:)

@SpookyKitten that's so cool I think I've seen videos of that! What kind of images do you do? And what music do you find relaxing?

I've been getting increasingly into gardening- it's nice for me because it takes some gentle moving, but things don't have to happen on a strict schedule. Also, it can be pretty cheap if you just start with seeds. I also play video games, but I do have to usually keep anything 'action'-heavy to a small amount of time at once. I also always play on the easiest mode. I like the stories in most video games, so that works for me. I'm a little lucky in that I feel into a very easy work situation, where I do bookkeeping for 10-12 hours a week and my client understands my health situation so there's no real deadlines. If you can find anything like that, it's nice to have something to do.

@FatBirdTRex I live in a small flat so no garden unfortunately!

@FatBirdTRex I used to do freelance editing but it's not as flexible as you'd think when you're at the start of your career! I've been thinking about wanting to get back into it but I know I can't handle it and not sure what else to do in the meantime

I love my Maltese dog Lacey. I take her out for a walk around the house 2-3 times a day. Moving helps my pain. I cannot do much else except I play June’s Journey. Watch movies and documentaries on tv and after 2 yrs and 4 eye surgeries I can read books. I also had Audible. These books can take you on adventures. I checked around and some places have a free book a week. Others are 99 cents. Bookbub and Bargain books both on line.

@RMSjohns sounds lovely! Yeah I need a dog to motivate me to walk!

Mainly video games; they’re also a good way to socialize and have fun with friends without needing to be physically in person. I’ve also gotten into crochet and have made some projects I’m happy with. Although I can experience pain in my hands from it if I do it too long without take a break.

@Tahlvia yeah I like crafts like knitting and jewelry but it causes me too much pain most of the time:(

I got really into embroidery for a while! And audiobooks. Or even better, both at once! Creative and fun without requiring too much brain power or aggravating my pain. Coloring is also fun! I also did some volunteering that was virtual, that was helpful too!

@Belleromeo got it, if you’re ever able to afford it they have full kits on Amazon with everything you would need! But I totally get it not being an option right now :)
