Has anyone felt like they’ve become more introverted since your diagnosis? It’s almost as if I feel like I can’t REALLY connect with many people anymore because they don’t understand what I’m going through, if that makes sense at all? I’m not against it, though. I’ve become a lot more comfortable being alone lately… I’m not sure why.

Me, 100%. It’s easier to be myself while I’m not being able to walk or function as opposed to having someone ask me what’s wrong as if they don’t know I have FM. I definitely understand how you feel.

Absolutely, I have become progressively more alone and agoraphobic since being diagnosed and with the pandemic

I have isolated myself as well. It is just easier, but awful lonely.

With fibromyalgia people can’t see your pain. No matter how many times I try to explain it no one completely understands. It is very frustrating sometimes. I don’t go out a lot because of the pain and anxiety. If you ever need to talk I would love that 💕

Yes, it seems to be fairly common, or your friends just stop being around. Sites like this help a lot
