Looking for Real Experiences with Avoidant Personality Disorder

For me at it's worst it is like a form of paranoia where I am convinced family and friends have a negative view of me and this makes me feel very anxious, angry, sad and worthless. I have had to do a ton of work on myself in order to try and help myself feel better which has worked but it is such a lengthy process - it has literally taken me decades to get as well as I am.
