Dealing with a Transphobic Friend

I agree with @a.f but I would like to qualify it: it really depends on how long you've been out. You have known for a while, they are just finding out. There will be an adjustment period. If they haven't started coming around within a month AT MOST, I would have to agree with a.f. If they do start to come around, I suggest directing them to your local PFLAG chapter (if you have one). They'll have support from people who have been in their position and you won't have to play professor of trans 101.

If they're not accepting of who you are, they're not a friend.
