What does rapid cycling feel like? How often does it occur? What medications help it?

I just saw my psychiatrist yesterday as I’m getting bad again, things are getting dark again. She said to her it appears that I’m going into a hypo mania stage. It’s been about a year or so since my last. My doctor is starting me on resperidone to help me sleep. This is just a start. I have used seroquel in the past but wasn’t informed to be cautious, it can cause some serious weight gain so watch your diet and exercise.

Hi! It usually means there are more than 4 episodes of mania/hypomania or depression in one year. Lithium is good for rapid cycling as well… for me staying in therapy the whole time was helpful
