so I've been sick the past few days and it's probably not much more than a cold, I've been doing like every last thing I can to not be sick anymore. it started yesterday morning and I didn't want to go to work but stuck it out anyways and I have work tomorrow so it's kinda like I'm giving myself a sickness deadline. like after tonight I'm not allowed to have a stuffy nose and sore throat anymore. I've gargled salt water, drank orange tea, I've taken Benadryl (proper amounts), I've tried sleeping it off, and I know it's not something that any one of these remedies would fix but I've been on my toes trying to get over this. I dont know if it's anxiety about my health or needing control over my own body but I know I probably just need to relax..

@Dylxn oof yeah bad customer interactions are terrible. I got more than my fair share of those as well. I have an ethnic name so people would look at my name tag and go bezerk multiple times a day 😂

Second what the person above has said. Try to be easy on yourself. My partner swears by honey or lemon and honey tea. I like Vicks vapor rub and probiotics. You will get through this. Being sick can suck and make things hard mentally as well.

@Tofu14 thanks, update> I am still a bit sick but I made it to that shift, I ended up having a bad customer interaction where I was getting yelled at and my manager got called on me and a bunch of other stuff where I just left early anyways (which if you like to hear about that message me) but overall I was stressing out just to leave early anyways

Being sick can be a little bit anxiety enducing, try taking it slowly, only work if you know you have to, and don't try to strain yourself. Sometimes us getting sick is our bodies way of telling us we need to take time for ourself to relax, maybe watch your favourite film/show, and just remember, it might not be okay now, but the sickness wont last forever, and be aware that your body has what it needs to fight the sickness.

@Jam_tart978 thanks, yea I've been trying to do things that force me to relax without thinking about it
