Nonnie

My name is Nonnie and I’m in a situation that I don’t know how to get out of. I don’t know how to treat my mental illness but I’m not “allowed” to be medicated. (I still live with my parent)

I know in some places they have teen/young adult free mental health clinics. I don’t know the details of this type of thing but maybe a good place to start

I’m not offended at all, you’re absolutely correct. And thank you so much, I truly appreciate you.

i’m sorry but she sounds very self centered no offense. if talking down on her child makes her feel better that’s very messed up i don’t understand how a mom can do that, or a parent in general. my dms are always open if you wanna talk more privately

My mother believes that I am faking being ill to get pills. Though, I’ve never dealt with any form of substance abuse before. I smoke a little every 2-3 years and it never lasts very long. Other than that, I’ve taken no form of “drug”. Not even regular medicine like ibuprofen is allowed sometimes because she thinks I’m just “addicted to pills” but she says that because I attempted to overdose once and when she asked why, I told her it was because she wasn’t treating me right. She never even said sorry, she said I “was just trying to get over on her by making her feel bad.” Now talking down to me about it is basically her way of making herself feel better because she can’t admit when she’s wrong.
