I feel like I'm being ignored by my own husband. He doesn't talk to me when he is around his family. He didn't even say goodbye this morning. I got sent home from work because I was in close contact with someone who had covid, and he hasn't even checked on me. I feel horrible. I'm eight hours away from any family that I have and I feel alone and isolated. Is this normal? Are parts of his family toxic, it certainly feels that way at times. I can't get any reaction out of him. Why did I stay?

Communication is key. If you can't say it to him, write it down but you have to tell him how you feel

I think you need to be thinking Abt is this what you want the rest of your life. Because most ppl show us who they really are. And how they treat us usually never changes. Praying for you šŸ™

My husband only ever showed compassion or concern with each diagnosis was when he was talking to his friends or family. He wanted the sympathy but refused to even acknowledge me or what I was going thru. A true narcissist.

it's not in your head. Don't consider that possibility, he needs to talk it through with you. Honestly if he isn't willing to at least try to understand you then he's not worth it. Communication is the most important part of a relationship and if there isn't any then there isn't a relationship.

I struggle with the same things sometimes, and a lot of time it is in my head, unfortunately. I find talking to my therapist about it, or even a trusted friend or family member really helps because you can vocalize it. Hearing yourself talk through issues out loud can be very empowering. My husband and I recently signed up for marriage counseling as well to help with our communication issues. Itā€™s hard for him to understand my mental health issues and what I need from him. Communication is key!

You should bring this up to him. Tell him how you feel.

@Roland I have. He doesn't see it though. I'm worried maybe it's all in my head. I sometimes feel like I'm losing mind, I'm not, I can't be. Ugh.

@Lilly1 I would trust that there is a valid reason why you feel the way that you do. I would be very upset if my husband was behaving this way too
