I spent my life having needs that I was judged for vocalizing. Now, when I go to vocalize them and someone wants to help, it can feel so uncomfortable and dangerous to accept them. It always feels really nice when I see people go out of their way to offer directly to meet a need well before I ask. It takes away the pressure and fear of communicating.

I experience this too. I almost feel guilty for asking, and then even more guilty when they are willing to meet said need. 🥲

I can relate to this a lot.. Since finding nice people in life I feel I can voice my needs but I feel bad for voicing my needs and then feel uncomfortable when they are met but at the same time i like it..

@DustyPines exactly. But at the same time I'm desperate to be helped and cared for. It's like being my own worst enemy
@SunInAugust me too 🥲 All I want is for people to notice that I need help but then as soon as they do, I feel horrendous guilt 😭
