Does anyone have any tips for dermatillomania? Mine is with my fingers, anytime I am bored it seems like I’m biting them and leaving them raw. Sometimes they will even bleed. Anytime I try not to do it it’s like I can only stop for a few days but then it gets right back to where I started /:

I agree with the tip about having your nails done, if thats something you like having! It changed my life. I even learned how to do professional nails on myself so I didn’t have to keep going to the salon. It has helped me SO much to stop picking and biting my nails. It also gives me so much more confidence … if that makes sense.

There are anti biting gels with bitter taste that you can apply on your nails. Even if you’re only biting your fingers, I believe you’ll still get that awful taste

personally I tear up my fingers if I don’t have my nails done but if I have acrylics on I won’t even touch my fingers
