I'm so mad, I thought I've been getting strong enough to take my dogs to the groomers. One is a German shepherd/golden retriever and the other a pitbull/shepherd, so they're pretty big and strong. They almost lifted me off the ground twice and I just felt all my strength leave my body, it was scary. it was silly of me to think I could handle it and I should have at least worn my braces, my knee sublexed and now all the rest of my body is aching. Just mad at myself and wish my dogs weren't so stupid out in public (they just wanna run and meet everyone)

I recently had to return a Foster dog to the shelter for this very reason. It was heartbreaking. I've never in my life had to do that. But I can no longer handle large dogs that don't have proper training. I used to have the energy to train them myself. But I don't anymore. Many hugs and much love.

I feel you, my pitbull gets like that all the time. I suggest a mobile groomer or even an in-house groomer, they can be a little more expensive but it's worth it to avoid the hassle. Best of luck!
i would recommend seeing if there are any mobile groomers in your area, they’re able to park right outside your house. as far as having your dogs in public, it takes a lot of training, and in situations where it’s necessary i would have someone with you to help. best of luck !!
