i have a problem where i have to tell at least one person about everything that happens to me. nothing is real until i have shared it with another person. i forget about it, or i gaslight myself about whether or not it actually happened. i always have to ask if my emotional response to any event was appropriate. does anyone else struggle with this? why do i have to share everything? is it a form of dissociation?

I have the same issue and I have found that journaling is a life saver when I am in a situation where there is no one to tell. Writing down the experience in full detail has a similar effect to telling someone for me (although if given a choice I prefer to tell someone).

You are seeking for somebody to tell you what you already know, but you firmly believe that you do not know it. Possibly mixed with the fear that you will forget everything that happens to you. Sharing stuff is completely normal! There are many reasons why we tell people stuff. But your thoughts define you and look at the lens you are putting on it. You are conversing about yourself in the past taking somebody else's judgement more seriously than your own. That is not a good thing to do. People will let you down. Trust yourself. Trust yourself to know that what you did is okay and how you acted was just you being you. It's okay to trust yourself. You are #1! Idk if it's dissociation I'm not a doctor but I had a friend who struggled with validation and as a friend, it was annoying because she had to ask if EVERYYY shirt looked okay and if THISSS was the way to brush her teeth or THOOSE shoes looked okay. I get it, it's hard... but it takes FOREVER!!! Lolol. It's more CONVENIENT to have trust and faith in yourself and your decisions. Sending love!
I have this problem too. Ive been prettt isolated recently and it became really apparent that i feel like i need to share things. For me i thibk it ties in with ptsd. If youre ever out of people to share with i can listen.
