today was a really hard day today. I relapsed on self harm. ik recovery isn't linear but this just feels so hard and such a set back. I was 81 days clean after self harming for years off and on. it's such a hard addiction to break... any advice or words of encouragement would be helpful!

I relapsed at the beginning of the year after 74 days of being clean and have struggled to get back that long since. All i can really say is itll be alright. Everyone has bad days, just dont beat yourself up over it. Just make sure you get yourself cleaned up and take good care of yourself in the days after, get plenty of water and rest hopefully and maybe try to reflect on what happened prior to you doing it to see if there is anything that can be avoided in the future. Youve got this, it may feel like a set back but even a shadow needs the light to exist.

@Ryssa thankyou so much
@Leot0603 of course! Its really really hard to keep clean, and i know that from experience. You just have to remember not just to focus on the relapses, but also the period between and be proud of yourself when you dont, but also dont throw yourself in the dump when you do
