I have moved to Florida 7 years ago and yes I love it here but can’t find any true friends. They say they are your friend and then they back stab you and they pretend to be your friend to your face. I just want some friends to talk to and hang out with.

Yup. After my bestfriend of 13 years cut me off because she found Jesus she said and that I was toxic because I refused to stop using cannabis for my medical issues. Even though I know I did nothing wrong the pain she caused me has stayed even though it’s been almost 4years. I have friends who occasionally tell me she still talks ill of me but that’s okay. But just sucks is I gave that person who truly didn’t care about me the ability to ruin the aspect of me that has the ability to socialize and trust others.

As soon as I don’t like one thing I’m ready to cut them off completely and feel like it was a total waste of time so yes….very much so. I also struggle with “favorite person” syndrome thanks to BPD so the black and white thinking kills a lot of my potential friendships.

I realized a few years ago that my “friends” were using me and I cut them off but now I’m alone. Not sure which is worse.

People come and go, that's why you shouldn't try to keep a so called friend.

Yes! All my “friends” are my boyfriends friends or acquaintances that I’ve never been able to keep or get close to. I feel like I’ve never had a real friend and that makes me sad. I don’t need a lot just 1 or 2 would be nice.

I have this problem so bad! The best thing I've found is to get out there even when it's scary! My past best friend and I met in a club that I started! Its best to find things that attract your interest because then, chances are, it'll be easier to strike up conversations! Good luck!

Yep! It’s hard for me for lots of reasons. Also, people usually find me to be eccentric or are confused by me. Plus I suck at small talk… And it actually amuses me how truly bad I really am at it. However, I have come to truly love my completely weird self. 🤗

For sure, I haven’t had any friends since high school that was 6 years ago 😅
