Seeking advice on anxiety medication

Everyone is different. I tried Zoloft, it quit working. I hated Prozac, Celexa and Lexapro. Finally I got on Paxil for depression, Buspar for anxiety and Lamictal for Borderline Personality Disorder and I’m doing better with them than without.

Lexapro has been a huge help for me, I still feel like somethings missing but it's the most helpful thing I've had. Definitely lessens intrusive thoughts for me too, but doesn't get rid of them of course. I still get more anxious than I should but I go through with things anyway and am able to recognize that doing stressful things is worthwhile lol

Hey there, I've been on similar antidepressants for a long time, and theu trial and error I've landed on Prozac; it wasn't quite doing enough for me and so they added Abilify (aripiprazole) to go along with it. They synergized quite well and I'd say it did the trick. If the Lexapro doesn't quite help, talk to your prescriber about taking something concurrent with it

Love lexapro! I was on it for like 10 years. Then a new doctor suddenly took me off it cold turkey and no surprisingly things got bad fast. Now I have a new doctor and am back on it. I take it for anxiety and OCD and it’s the only thing that has truly helped lessen the intrusive thoughts and panic attacks. Doesn’t cure anything of course but helps tremendously.
