My depression has been acting up really bad lately. I'm out of a job and trying my hardest to get a new one. But the only emails I receive back are about how the position has already been filled. I was so hopeful this week because I had an interview and they said they'd call me on Thursday if I was hired. But I didn't get a call yesterday. I'm starting to feel even more like a useless burden to my roommates. The only thing I have bring in money right now is a dog sitting job, and that's only going to cover half my rent this month. I want to be hopeful, but I just can't help feeling stuck in this dark loop

I've been there. I've been unemployed for 7 months now and we have been living off of my husband's income since I got fired in December. It was really hard for a while because I felt like a burden to my husband since I wasn't bringing in any money. What helped me personally was deciding to go back to school because now I can *hopefully* finish my degree and get my dream job and then we will both be happier. While money is important, I would also encourage you to try to find something that makes you feel happy or hopeful to do as you are still looking for a job. The job market is really tough nowadays, so I would just encourage you to keep trying/applying/interviewing and be patient with yourself. Take care ❤️

I definitely understand being in a dark place. I’ve been there lately… and job hunting can be an emotional roller coaster

Yes and government assistance "welfare" can always help. Just don't know if county assistance "welfare" is everywhere. But I'm sure there's something alike.

... for starters ALWAYS call them back. You need to act like you want a job. Literally like every single business in my region is hiring. Keep trying you'll find something. Fastfood, gas stations and grocery stores are like always hiring. Also there are those side business aps you can get into. For driving, delivering or cleaning... various different options for anyone.
