Postpartum Depression (PPD)

@901Snoop I can definitely understand not wanting to take meds everyday, but I'm sure you know that with this type of med, it takes weeks to start to show any benefit. PPD is no joke- your brain chemistry is going thru some major changes. It will most likely improve on its own, but can be really hard for some women. Mine was 20 years ago, but I remember being put on Zoloft several weeks before my daughter was born, bc we were worried about depression being a problem for me. It was, but only for a few weeks. I hope you have some support systems! 💐
still going through it,
I'm still going through it, but I'm in a much better place than I was 2 weeks ago. I went to my obgyn and was very, very honest about how badly I was struggling and they put me on Zoloft. I can honestly say it's been helping me quite a bit. I can get through the day without crying and feeling absolutely miserable now. From what my doctor told me, once I've been taking it for an entire month it will be fully built up in my body and I should feel much better. So I'd definitely recommend going to see your doctor, there's no shame in needing help. Therapy is helpful too, ask your doctor for a good recommendation. It'll get better!
@Saraboo19 thanks so much. I have zoloft just stopped taking it after a few days. I don't like take meds everyday
