Getting Surgery Soon: Worried About Nicotine Use

hello! I just learned that I'm getting surgery for my disc in a little less than 2 weeks from now. my preoperative exam is this Thursday. I do vape nicotine, and I was wondering If this would stop me from getting my surgery. I stopped today to make sure, but I'm a little nervous that I won't be allowed to.

      It’s going to hard to not hit your vape but after it’s done you’ll be able to smoke nicotine for taking edge off

      Stop smoking a couple days before so you don’t wake up during surgery

      I don’t smoke but I had ACDF surgery back in 2019 and i remember them saying no nicotine for several weeks I believe but I’d be honest and just tell them to ease your mind !Good luck with you’re surgery

        @Lillian55541 I feel good! Instead of the leg pain it's now just the pain from the surgery :)) thanks for asking!!
