Anxiety (Including GAD)
This is going to sound like a cliche, but meditation and mindful breathing helped me the most. For a bit I practiced box breathing everytime I washed my hands. 4second inhale hold for 4 exhale 4 hold repeat. It was an easy way to add a little mindfulness in and make sure I was washing my hands enough. I also really liked the app headspace and their beginner course
I never thought to use it like that! I always feel like I have to practice mindfulness in a particular space/particular way and that always gave me some anxiety. I’ll try this!
I hope it helps! Supportive touch like placing a hand on your chest or holding your forearms can be helpful as well and looking up grounding methods could be nice to have some more tools and options. Ive found it really useful to have tools that are simple, don't take much Concentration and aren't obvious if other people are around
