Hi, so bit of a long question. I was diagnosed by the GP with pseudoseizures, but a councillor told me it was dissociation. Basically i get extremely tired to the point i cant keep my eyes open, my body feels really heavy and i cant communicate verbally. It also comes with this feeling that is really hard to describe, almost like a pulse/wave through me or intense pins or needles? Its hard to explain sorry, almost like im falling alseep and my body is trying to jolt me awake. Nothing helps except sleeping until it goes away and occassionally ice on my body. I just wonder if anyone else feels like this or knows which one it might be.

Hi! I have non epileptic seizures. I, my epileptologist and my psychologist just figured this out. The name of my current diagnosis is Functional Neurological System Disorder. From my understanding, it is considered a form of dissociating. I am unsure if this is what you have, also, but PNES is definitely related to FNSD. So maybe it I both? I am eager to read other comments as I am still learning and very new to this.
@EliteLexy maybe it *is

One of the replies mentioned experiencing a similar sensation, describing it as a wave-like feeling inside their body when they get too sleepy. They also mentioned that it might be related to being awake and asleep at the same time, which is something not fully understood yet. However, it's important to consult with a medical professional for a proper diagnosis and personalized advice.
