I've recently started an insulin pump along with a new CGM (I was on one before, but the one I'm on now can "talk" to the pump). it's actually been a pretty positive change for me, my A1C has already lowered, and it's only been 2 weeks! I'm having trouble counting my carbs, and measuring everything out. I'll admit to not taking very good care of my diabetes before, that's connected to my depression, but I'm trying to get better, so I can be a better person and friend. it's the tandem btw, and as weird as it sounds I like having the thing connected to me. it's very much like having an artificial pancreas, especially with the CGM that talks to it.

Congrats! That’s so awesome. I have Dexcom and tandem too. It has really helped me too. Glad you’re liking it :)
Hey! Congrats on the upgrade. I believe I will be getting an insulin pump soon myself. But I am nervous about it. I'm finally getting used the CGM system that I have. It's a dexcom g6. It's really cool but since my levels are always so high, it beeps a lot. I am too workinghg on my carb counting and it's difficult at time to remember but I usually try to write things down. This last week has been a real struggle for me but I'm hoping to be back on top of my routine soon

I have been on pump therapy off and on since 2010. My a1c still varies depending on if I've gotten steroid injections. Or if I'm remembering to bolus. It's still exhausting but my basal line glucose is better. No more dawn effect for me.

@loralies Yeah, I get the feeling that overtime I'll be just as annoyed with the pump as I was with the insulin pens, but I'm trying to keep up the positive thoughts. 🙏 I hope things even out for you, I really do!
@GoGoat it's a lot better though I'll take a poke every couple days over 5 or more shots!!!
