I keep trying to stay sober but the alcohol cabinet is right there and it's so easy to take from it. I'm not sure what to do. It's always in the house because it's my parent's alcohol and not mine so I can't just get rid of it. It's so hard to resist it feels impossible.

i am of legal age to drink and live with my mom temporarily, and she’s never expressed anger towards me about my drinking problem but more of a strict concern. talking to them is better than not talking to them. ❤️

Tell your parents how you’re feeling if they are supportive of your sobriety (which they should be) they will be able to make adjustments and honor your struggle and feelings My mom has learned to ask about having a drink with me when we go out to dinner after I expressed how hard it was for me at times and the small things mean a lot to me showing people have my back

I'm too scared they'll get pissed at me to talk about it. I might talk to my therapist about it first but I just feel too ashamed to talk about it to them.
