      Everyone’s situation is different. If you have a mild case of GERD, then those OTC remedies might help. I’m not suggesting you live on them. If your GERD is more severe, then you likely belong on a stronger prescribed medicine to reduce acid. The best advice is to see a gastroenterologist to determine the cause, the severity and possible ways to control it.

      If you still have acid reflux, then I’d say Tums or Rolaids would help you.
