Ice pack on the chest helps- cools the vagus nerve

Unfortunately yes! I have always hated the cold but if I get too warm I get sick and my POTS flares. I'm almost constantly in a cold room under blankets when I'm home.

Yeah heat is unfortunately a very common POTS trigger - some insurances will approve cooling vests which I hear can help. For me I use long lasting ice packs for days I know I’ll be in the heat (Living in TX) which helps, also there a lots of affordable cooling vest options on Amazon. Also small portable fans are a life saver! If all else fails, or you can’t afford any of these, ice water is a fast way to cool your body temp fast.

Yes- POTS patients overheat much easier and it will likely trigger cardiac symptoms. It's worse for some people than others- I only take cold showers because hot water will make me faint
