i need advice and/or consoling. i typically have weird and sometimes bizarre dreams, but recently i've been having extremely bizarre nightmares. this morning i woke up from a very gruesome nightmare, to my mother using a tone of voice towards our dog who had just escaped that triggers my childhood trauma. after we got the dog back inside(he nearly attacked another dog, too šŸ„²) i completely collapsed into my mother's arms and aggressively sobbed for 10 minutes straight, her having not a clue why. any advice on how to cope with or improve this situation?

      Rewrite the dream how you would like it to go and or tell yourself it's just a dream it's not real.. your brain likes to play games. Meditation helps me calm myself before sleep and after nightmares.
