Frustrated with Slow Texter

You can definitely can ask what's going on. What I've learned over the years is that people have different communication styles and ways they show they are interested. There isn't necessarily a "wrong" way, just a way that isn't compatible. Sometimes my SO would go a few hours without texting. Texting time alone doesn't necessarily mean he's uninterested, but at the same time I won't assume other factors that could contribute to why this is suspected. It would probably be helpful to have a conversation with him about it. Being direct is the best approach. It can be daunting and the result may not always be what you hope, but at least your expectations are out there. If he gets defensive, then maybe re-evaluate how much you can talk to him. A relationship's about communication and if neither of you can ultimately talk to each other, it just won't work out. You can start the conversation with something like, "Hey, I was wondering, do you have a certain time frame you get back to people? I typically respond quickly, and I noticed there's a lot of time between your replies. Is everything okay?" Potentially, this opens up a conversation without being accusatory but still gets your side across. It can also lead to a talk about both your boundaries, what you need in a relationship to feel respected and feeling like one another's interested. "I feel respected when my partner *insert your love language here.* Do you think we could give that a try?" Also "Things come up" is/was a sort of mantra/reminder that's helped ease my anxiety about texting frequency. Had to do a lot of self-talk to put it at bay. It took a while and it hasn't always quelled the overwhelming feelings of anxiety, but perhaps that's something you can try. I hope this is helpful and best of luck.

I can say for a fact a guy that is interested replies everytime even if it is within 5 to 20 minutes. If he ignores you often than thats a whole nother story. Maybe ask whats takin so long...
