Gabapentin for Bipolar: Opinions and Dosage

I take 400 mg 4x a day.

I take 1800 daily. Was on 2400 but trying to reduce as I want to get pregnant this year. It helps a lot with my anxiety

I take 2400 daily for bipolar and anxiety. It really helps me stay calm and focused.

I didn't know Gab could be used for so many other things. I take 900mg for my fibro. And 3 other medication for my bipolar. Gab never did anything thing for my bipolar. It doesn't make me sleepy but I know they gave it to my mom as a sleeping med. So many uses

Any problems with the fan making you guys too sleepy?

I took lamictal and developed Steven Johnson’s syndrome :-( my psych hasn’t suggest using anything else for my BP besides gabapentin. My lows are shorter in duration (1-3 days vs 3-4 months) and less intense (ex: I don’t ruminate about my death all day now) but I’m still fluctuating every few days :( irritable and negative with no energy to slightly positive mindset

I take 1600 a day for fibromyalgia and anxiety, I have bipolar 2. I also take a mood stabilizer (lamictal)

I take 1600mg a day for anxiety and it does a decent job! It was prescribed to me in conjunction with bipolar meds and I think they've done a good job. Feel free to ask about the other meds as well!
