Getting off Effexor: Need Advice

Definitely wean off of it very slowly. I've heard that benadryl can actually help with withdrawal symptoms. My brother and sister went though effexor withdrawal many years ago and it was definitely not fun but adding a little bit of antihistamines helped my sister come out of her effexor fog. Goodluck!

whatever you do don't stop it abruptly! i have been through withdraw when I ran out of my for a few days and it was absolutely terrible and can make your mental state much much worse! definitely talk to your doctor about how to wean down

You have to ween yourself off of it. I had the withdrawls and they suck
