Guys, I wonder if stress has caused My GERD. Or like I ate something bad, then stressed made it worse?? Did that happen to anyone too? Some things that caused too much stress for me are: googling my symptoms, thinking I’m going to go to the hospital be put on a ventilator, be tube fed and liquids, never seeing friends again, never having a normal life, having a permanent disease, missed weeks of school, was scared I’d have to live with my parents forever, stress about taking pills, medical bills, multiple doctors appointments, reading a comment that said someone was throwing up for 5 years straight, and thinking is that going to be my life?? etc. i think that all could attribute to making acid reflux right in throat maybe right ?

Stress definitely makes mine worse! I take over the counter famotadine twice a day per my doc, and it really helps cut down on my side pain and heartburn flare-ups. It’s hard not to be anxious when we have big responsibilities to face. You’re doing great ❤️

I’ve never tried Pepcid but it’s just a small pill you can get at the pharmacy in that same section, you can either take it before you eat reflux-triggering foods or twice a day. I just take it twice a day to be safe and it’s helped manage the nausea and pain much more than before
