Hi, everyone :) I’ve been seen by an APRN in rheumatology within the same medical center where my PCP is. I want to get a second opinion on is going on with me physically. Most rheumatologists require a referral where I live. However, my PCP and the rheumatology APRN are close co-workers and I don’t want it to seem like I am second-guessing the APRN’s skills or anything…I just want to make sure I’m being fully and accurately assessed. Do you have any suggestions on how to ask my PCP for a referral without insinuating anything negative about my APRN?
