I'm having trouble explaining it to my boyfriend, he calls me lazy and says I'm acting like a child. It makes me look down on him sometimes because he thinks he can look down on me for something he doesn't even try to understand

My parents had to see it in action, i.e. me having a full-blown panic attack because i had to make a phone call. They definitely don't get it all the time, especially because i can't really articulate why i feel the way i do, but they understand that it's serious and i'm not just being silly. While it's certainly not the best solution, it worked for me 👍👍

My Mom Somewhat Understands Now that she works with Children w/ mental disorders. She Used to be a Pca now an Assistant teacher. Things is,Before Understanding She was Really Horrible torwards me no matter how many times I tried to Explain it. Sometimes....Some Mothers don't know whats best for their children 😅 As long as you have at least few Supportive people,Thats a blessing to have.

The only thing I am sure of is that people cannot truly understand what other people go through if they haven't experienced the same and even then it doesn't always happen. I hope you're family can take the time to at least see that this is something important to you and regardless of whether or not they understand it, they respect it. I've gotten to the point where I've cut off most of my family because they won't respect me and my boundaries. The only thing that has gotten through to my parents is suddenly cutting them off for a year. They still can't seem to get it but at least they are nicer to me. I hope it's better for you and good luck.

@Ander thank you so much. it’s so frustrating but they’re not respecting me. all i get is “i’m lazy” and stupid things like that. appreciate your response 💓
