Hey. I noticed lately I have been extremely stressed which has been triggering my anxiety and GERD. Any tips on how to help calm myself down?

this might sound weird but i like to go somewhere where nobody can hear me (usually driving on the freeway for me) and i just unleash the most ungodly scream i can. repeat until u feel better. theres a song called i never want to be young again by gogol bordello where theres screams throughout the song that arent like bad depressed emo music screams that i like to scream along to. may just be crazy tho
I like doing body scan medications on YouTube. I also have a variety of coloring books so I have something to focus on.
I try and lay down and just breathe at times, but if you really feel nauseous also maybe try carrying gum or peppermint to sooth your stomach (I do this all the time) also just taking time to do something you like or go back to something you know you enjoy is good to calm yourself. Talking it out with a friend, therapist, or just talking out loud or writing it down can help. Maybe even a shower or soak in the tub (water is my best friend lol I take warm showers when I’m stressed)
Maybe also a heating pad or weighted blanket can help soothe you too!
I use ASMR, weighted blankets, and music when I’m at home. In public I designate bathrooms as a safe-zone, and will excuse myself to take breaks away from everyone and have some silence
I personally use a technique I learned from my mom (who is a licensed therapist) and she calls it “square breathing”. What you do is take a breath in for 8 seconds, hold for 8 seconds, release for 8 seconds, hold for 8 seconds and then repeat until you’re tired of trying or until it works! Another way I’ve found personally helps is what I call “3 count” I ask my friends to help me with a 3 count all the time. What you do is you give your emotions a long 3 countdown to all come out all at once and after the countdown from three is over, you say “and it’s done” and you put it aside for some other time. It really helps me if I’m in a stressful situation and need to get focused in the moment. I hope my comment helps! And if anyone needs anything always feel free to message me!
I usually try to watch some TV that I can immerse myself in to distract my brain. I also love to go on drives and blast music and sing the stress and anxiety out.
