@Trashy digestive enzymes are proteins your body creates to process food. Anyone with a chronic illness will have depleted digestive enzymes because our bodies are too busy focusing on other things to make the proper amount. Taking digestive enzymes will help you process your food completely and lessen the nausea.

I found digestive enzymes to be a huge help.

Being cold surprisingly helps with nausea. I like to put a cold pack or a cold pillow on my abdomen. Carbonated water, sprite, or ginger ale also help with nausea, lifesaver while I had the stomach flu as a kid. Mint tea or mint anything helps with nausea as well. If all else fails... Tums. I eat those like candy cause I'm almost always nauseous šŸ˜

I have had pots and Zofran rx both for 10 years..... I've NEVER heard of not being able to use it when you have pots?

Phenergan and meclizine can be good alternatives to zofran for some people (sometimes meclizine can help with other pots symptoms too). I find ginger to be helpful. Often having more frequent smaller meals/snacks can easier. Meal replacements like ensure, boost, or kate farms can be good to have on hand for when you just need to get something in your stomach. Also it might be worth seeing a GI if you donā€™t already since pots can affect your digestive system. Good luck šŸ’•

Zofran and MQ motion sickness patches (over the counter and WAY safer than scopilamine when needed long term)

@spookyspoonie what are MQ motion sickness patches? I recently tried to travel on a plane and experienced extreme motion sickness even with the scopolamine patch. I have POTS and Iā€™ve felt motion sickness horribly my whole life. Iā€™d love to hear any alternative methods to ease motion sickness!!

@spookyspoonie I have POTS so I can't take zofran but tbh that's the only thing that ever worked for me. Zofran is indeed amazing

Ugh, that is really the worst. Fresh air really helps me when Iā€™m nauseous so Iā€™ll just open the window and stand by it sometimes. For eating, try really bland foods. Toast, plain cereal, fruit and vegetables. Also chew mint gum!
