Stress-eating has definitely been an issue for me, and it’s been just ✨wonderful✨ for my blood sugar😅. I think it also has something to do with having somewhat restricted eating habits growing up due to T1D? It’s usually when I feel low blood sugar coming, but sometimes the cravings hit me when my levels are high too. Any low carb snacks you like to munch on or tips for when stress hunger pangs hit?

Look for snacks with low net carbs. Basically, dietary fiber and sugar alcohols on nutrition labels can be subtracted from the carb count because it doesn’t impact your blood sugar. I even have candies that I don’t have to give insulin for!

Yum! Thanks!
I like pickles, but they have to be the Claussen ones. I can usually get away with a spoon of peanut butter or 2 as well without spiking out of control. Sesame seaweed and plain beef jerky are good snacks also. I also like steamed broccoli with Alfredo sauce as a dip.

Cucumber and spicy hummus! The little salami and cheese snack packs, salted seaweed, greek yoghurt
