When is enough, enough? Reflections on 9/11 aftermath

It’s almost 9/11. I was working as a Paramedic first at the pile then pier 92 for 2 weeks. When is enough, enough. I understand honoring the Fallen but what about the rescuers, including myself, now with chronic illnesses. My lungs will never heal. This isn’t a cry for self pity but there has to come and end to the reading of every name and picking off the scab every year. 😢
