i feel like an outcast with my friend groups nowadays. today, i went to the gym with my two friends and i realized the way they talk to each other is completely different than from how they talk with me. when they’re talking, it looks genuine and they’re having casual talks but when i talk with them it’s very bland and monotone. has anyone felt this way and if so, how did u overcome it?

There are days when I truly felt excluded and even disliked by my friend group. It used to depress me terribly, because I didn’t understand why they looked at me differently. I think that the feelings of aloneness and hurt can be overcome by not expecting so much from other people. You could be the sweetest, kindest person in the world and people will still find reasons to not like you. Allow them that freedom and move on. If you put yourself out there, then you will find other people in your life who will recognize and truly appreciate your virtues. What really matters is if you like you. If you like you, then you will never truly be alone, because you will always have yourself. And, from my personal experience, people tend to be attracted to those who are at peace with themselves.
