Hi I’m Alex, genderfluid, and I just joined this app because I need someone to talk to. Last year in July I was SA by the he person I thought loved me. I stayed with him for another 6months and it continued over and over again but it was my first relationship so I just thought it was normal and he was going through a hard patch and I didn’t want to leave him. Finally I did. And it’s been close to 5 months and my best friend and I have gotten really close. We have been hanging out and started catching feels. Anyways I love the way he holds me and I feel so safe but every now and then I get flash backs to the past relationship and idk how to make them stop. I just want a hug or to have that comfort without wanting to throw up everytime I think about someone touching me. And Ik, my current relationship, he doesn’t judge me and he understands but I just feel like I make things so difficult and hard for him all the time. Bc we will just be cuddling everything fine and then out of no where I’ll just have a panic attack and I need some pointers on how to control them and keep them from happening less. <3!

During a panic attack, I’ve found I just have to be in a safe place and let things go. And when I am able to grasp onto the present to remind myself that I’m safe now and can’t be hurt anymore.
