This is VERY strange but I had to do bleach baths for my HS during flare ups. 1/4-1/2 cup of bleach to a 40 gallon bath tub and soak effected areas for 10 mins. No more than twice a week. Rinse off in shower and moisturize immediately
Spironolactone- zero flares in about three years now

Preventing periods has been my biggest relief from HS. I was dealing with a severe flare with each period (thankfully I was already on BC that only let me have one every 3 months). I've only had very mild symptoms since making this switch

I was diagnosed at 16 and I haven't had any medication all I do is try to stay stress free and only shave if I haven't has a flare up in a week. Without fail every time I shave I flare up

Eating healthy, reduce stress, hydrocolloid bandages, balance hormones, lose weight if obese. I lost 50 lbs, I have been trying to watch what I eat, I try to reduce my stress and try to figure out what's up with my hormones and that all seemed to help me. Maybe my HS got better from aging and a drop off in certain hormones, I'm not sure. I haven't had a bad flare up in a really long time.
