What kind of symptoms do y'all experience with GERD? Anyone get chest pains or arm pains? I've had my heart checked so many times so it's not my heart. Just need to know if I'm alone with this one.

I get chest pain, but it's a very specific chest pain, and I know that because I DO have heart problems lol. I also have worsened cough variant asthma that was only diagnosed after a BAD episode of reflux triggered an attack. My dad has the same cough, although he doesn't wanna admit it or see a doctor for it because he's stupid and believes what he doesn't know won't hurt him š
I have the same thing. I have been diagnosed with broken heart syndrome as well but my heart is ok. I actually thought I was having a heart attack and my cardiologist said itās acid reflux and my hiatal hernia
I have it all the time. Extreme chest pain and throat pain. Also I have problems with breathing due to the pain and pressure in my chest. I haven't found anything to help relieve it yet.

I get this frequently and been checked out multiple times too! You arenāt alone. What helps me when it happens is lemon water and rubbing cooling or soothing essential oils over my sternum and putting pressure with my hand (which alarms people that donāt know why Iām doing that lol). It used to be really scary and now Iām just like oh crap ughhh. I also feel like my throat is closing or something is stuck in my throat a lot which I didnāt realize was also a symptom until recently.

@KitKat1450 you have no idea how much your response means to me š I'm so sorry that you're suffering with this too but it feels so good knowing I'm not alone or crazy. š
@AnxiouslyUnique šš„¹ you arenāt crazy or alone and Iām sorry youāre struggling too, it can get rough. I pray you find something that relieves it. Also I just remembered watching a video from a doc about precordial catch syndrome, which sounds similar. Itās when a nerve gets compressed or aggravated and causes chest pain just below the heart and on the left arm. Research says unclear as to the actual cause but they suspect it may be from the intercostal nerve and triggered by stress but is not connected to the heart function and is typically not harmful. Iām assuming foam rolling the thoracic spine might help relieve the pressure so Iām going to try that and see if it works the next time.
