So hysterectomies do not cure endo, excision surgeries do. I’ve had both. The excision surgery helped a lot with my daily pain but I still had bad periods and ovulation. I had the hysterectomy once we knew endo could no longer be causing the pain. Turns out my uterus was normal but just small and ANGRY. It eliminated a lot of my pain because I essentially went into labor monthly. Both helped a lot, but I’m glad I did it in the order I did, because not everyone needs a hysterectomy.
