Does anyone else find it difficult to manage chronic conditions with ADHD? I feel like I’m often forgetting what helps when I’m having a pain flare up from fibro, or emotional changes from PMDD. Is it normal to feel like you can never keep on top of it? What have you found that helps? It’s discouraging to me to feel like I don’t have the answers and I have to just sit in my pain until it goes away; often times I hyperfocus on the pain because it’s all I can do.

If my husband didn't remind me to take my meds and pain killers I would be a total mess of a blob and my son would, in turn, suffer greatly. Having a support system helps a lot. I also recommend the app Daylio

Yes I'm horrible at staying on top of my appointments and treatments. It takes me months to get the motivation to be seen for something that is bothering me.

Oh my gosh, yes. I’ve started either making a list I can check (if I remember it exists 😅) and/or putting together a “kit” to grab whenever something flares up!

@BonnieBubblegum I love the idea of a making a kit! I made sensory/stim bags to put in all of my bags/areas of the house so I could always use them. The trouble is just remembering they exist, for sure! lol.

@MatchaBunn haha, yes! I’ve started putting mine in ridiculous places so I *might* see them 😅 if it helps, my migraine kit has: Rx & otc meds, large dark sunglasses, an eye patch, green color therapy glasses, motion sickness patches, essential oils (lavender & peppermint), heated eye masks, pain cream, neck & jaw massagers, & reminders for my ice cap & roller in the freezer + a pain relief sound from YouTube! 🧠
@BonnieBubblegum same! I just started making my migraine and endo kits because I suck at keeping up
@Terrytaco96 what do you keep in your migraine kit? I’m still new to dealing with those, so any advice is appreciated, if you have the spoons.
I completely get it!! My pain flairs seem to go hand in hand with my bad mental health days
This is my life
What tracker do you use?
@CTmom I use Clue!
I feel this so much.

@mrbon valid
I've had this problem before and it helps me to use a habit tracker for things like meds and stretching that I know will help if I do them consistently, as well as keeping a list up on my bedroom mirror with a list of things I know help flare ups- then you don't need to remember, just follow the tracker and read your list! I hope that helps
