I feel so stressed right now. I'm recovering from shoulder surgery about a month ago. My youngest is special needs with a lot of mental health issues. I have my own health issues aside from my shoulder surgery...I'm not working right now because of my surgery and so my husband is the only one working. We are struggling so bad right now because I'm not working too. I hate it and I don't know how to make it better. My daughter is acting like a self entitled jerk today...and I'm just over it and everything else. I don't know what to do.

@reallyhopeful you reminded me of something. I have heard about a Respite Care program for special needs children. It's similar to Respite Care for seniors. They provide child care services to give the caretakers a break, or at home care so the caretakers can go to their own appointments or shopping without having to take said child with them. I heard about it through an insurance case manager for my granddaughter. It's worth it to check into.

😥 I encourage you to find a family member or a friend to give you a break sometimes. If you can't find help there, I recommend you search for a church family or a church or local daycares that are for the overloaded parents! We had one in my town years ago, that kept my children for 4 hrs. a day for free. I was a single mother of 4 boys. And I had a steady, but low paying job. I got the name of the church from my local Social Services.

@Reallyhopeful we don't have family close. But I am going to check into respite care.

@BethAA I'm so sorry but not very sure. Social Security? If not, they could point you in the right direction.

Deep breaths! If you don't take care of yourself, you can't take care of others. You did what you needed to for yourself by getting the surgery. It is only a temporary set back. It will get better. Keep breathing, one step, one day at a time. You hit this! 💜💜

@GaPeaches I'm sorry to hear your bank account was hacked. Ours was a while back at Christmas time. It will be ok. Some of your bill companies will work with you while it's all sorted out. 🙏🙏

I know how you feel. I had major foot surgery 3 months ago and still can't walk much without extreme pain. I've had major complications so hubby had to be home and missed work. So we are drowning financially. Thongs will get better, chin up.

@BethAA I understand hun I've been there. The stress of the family and not feeling like you are contributing. But trust this you are by getting yourself better and getting back to life.
